FIELDS FOR PATRIOTIC MEETING
The following nominations have been received by the Invercargill Whippet Club for its patriotic meeting to be held on the track at Oteramika road on Saturday. The whole of the proceeds from this meeting are being given by the club to the funds of the Navy Princess. Maiden Handicap: Pixie Lass, Drummer Boy, Osborne Fairy, Blue Metal, Blue Streak. Novice Handicap: Gold Tip, Silver Gift, Honest Sandy, Princess Be Good, Take Down, Mittens, Blue Metal, Pixie Lass, Drummer Boy. Improvers’ Handicap: Gay Gordon, Blue Metal, Honest Sandy, Gold Tip. Second-Class Handicap: Cliff’s Gift, Gay Gordon, Whang, Happy King, Brew Nug, Honest Maid, Great Surprise, No Joke, Hot Air, Silver Slipper. Open Handicap: Royal Irish, Hot Air, No Joke, Great Surprise, Brew Nug, War Pixie, Happy King, Trix Be Good, Daring Deed, Danny Boy, Cliff’s Gift. Maiden Hurdle Handicap: Daring Deed, Take Down, Nugget, Honest Sandy, Gold Tip. Second-Class Hurdle Handicap: Danny Boy, Daring Deed, Nugget, Whang, Happy King, Brew Nug, War Pixie, Honest Maid, Silver Slipper. Open Hurdle Handicap: Danny Boy, Trix Be Good, Happy King, War Pixie, Lady G, Silver Slipper.
