WORK OF WOMEN’S DIVISION

To The Editor Sir,—l see that F. Tothill and “Cow Puncher” are very much concerned whether the Women’s Division is still in existence. I can assure them that it is a very live organization. Our circle of about 12 members has helped liberally to cater for the soldiers when on parade in a nearby town, it has formed a Red Cross branch, it has donated nearly £lO to Red Cross work and £7 to the Sick and Wounded Fund, besides doing sewing, knitting and assisting needy cases. What form does “Cow Puncher” desire the Women’s Division’s patriotic effort to take? I am quite sure that any branch of the division will be pleased to accept “Cow Puncher’s” donation, and I can assure him or her that it will all be spent on patriotic work. I think it is paltry to criticize this organization, for what it is doing for the Dominion’s war effort, when, its policy has always been an “all in” one for the good of women and children and when now, more than ever, it is trying to do its bit. —Yours, etc., W.D. MEMBER. June 24, 1940.
