OBITUARY
MR THOMAS FOW The death has occurred at Mataura of Mr Thomas Fow. . . Mr Fow came to the Dominion about 66 years ago to engage in farming pursuits. As a boy of 17 he sailed for New Zealand from Lincolnshire, landing at Timaru and immediately finding work on many of the large farm properties on the plains. From Studholme he went south to Otautau, where he continued his farming pursuits He then went to Riverton to work in the saw m in S 1890 Mr Fow married Miss Mary Teresa Neill, whose parents were farming at Bothwell Park, Tuturau. He worked for a few years at Edendale after being at Riverton, and then he purchased a farm adjoining that of his wife’s parents. He carried on this property successfully for more than 10 years and when his health failed he retired to Mataura. . . . He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Martin Monaghan (Mataura), Miss Mary Fow (Mataura) and one son, Mr George Fow (Christchurch). SIR JOHN HARVEY SYDNEY, frune 13. The death is announced of the former Chief Judge in Equity, New South Wales, Sir John Harvey, aged 75. MR F. LEVERRIER, K.C. SYDNEY, June 13. The death is announced of Mr Frank Leverrier, K.C., a former leading barrister in New South Wales, aged 77.
