SPAIN TAKES TANGIER
NEUTRAL ZONE OCCUPIED PRESS SUPPORT FOR ENEMY (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received June 15, 2 a.m.) LONDON, June 14. The International Zone at Tangier was occupied this morning by Spanish troops. Tangier is in Spanish Morocco and is opposite the British base of Gibraltar. The Spanish Government has announced on previous occasions that it would preserve an attitude of non-belligerency, but of late Spanish newspapers have been unanimous in aligning the country with Italy and Germany. Fighting has broken out on the Franco-Italian border, according to an Italian war bulletin. GERMAN REPORT IS DISCREDITED V (Received June 15, 2.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 14. Military circles in London discredit the German Official News Agency report that the whole French line from the sea to Montmedy has broken down. The claim is disbelieved because the French were fighting well yesterday and it seems impossible that the whole line could be broken down in one morning.
