RIVERTON
DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL At the monthly meeting of the Riverton District High School Committee Mr G. H. Millow presided over Messrs J. A. Lee, C. Inder, J. A. Wilson, G. Cloughley and the secretary. The rector was also in attendance. The secretary of the Southland Education Board, advised the appointments of Miss Curie and Mr Eric Bardsley to the secondary staff. The Southland Young Men’s Bible Class Union applied for use of the school as a Bible Class camp for Easter 1941; the request was granted on the usual terms. Accounts amounting to £l5/15/7 were passed for payment. It was decided to record a minute of appreciation of the recent school effort with the local Patriotic Fund. The school has raised more than £26 to date.
