HITLER’S SECRET WEAPON
(Received May 28, 8.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 27.
The New York Herald-Tribune is informed that Herr Hitler’s new , secret weapon is a fleet of aeroplanes each of which is capable of carrying a 30-ton tank. The aeroplanes have a wing spread of 200 feet and four motors of 1200 horsepower, similar to the Dorniers or the Pan-American Airways flyingboats. They are constructed as a shell, with trapdoors. A tank or light artillery can be loaded by, means of a hydraulic lift • The informant, a former German who lived near the Black Forest, where the aeroplanes were constructed, said that 200 were completed last September.
