Men’s A Grade Games Begun SIX TEAMS COMPETE The men’s A grade table tennis competition conducted by the Southland Table Tennis Association was begun last night at the Orange Hall. CRICKET TROPHIES AWARDED APPLEBY CLUB’S SUCCESS The Tasman Dawson Shield, awarded to the club in the Southland Cricket Association’s junior A grade competition scoring the most runs a wicket throughout the season was won by the Appleby Cricket Club. Sixty-seven Appleby wickets fell at a cost of 1539 runs, an average of 22.9. Mr C. Warburton’s trophy, awarded to the batsman playing in the third grade competition, who gained the best aggregate, was won by M. Milne (Marist). Results were as follows:—
