ASPARAGUS FRITTERS Drain 1 tin asparagus (medium tips). Beat 1 egg well, add i cup milk, pepper, salt, 4 level tablespoons selfraising flour, and 1 dessertspoon melted butter. Dip tips one at a time and fry in boiling lard until a golden brown. Drain well and serve piping hot.
