GERMAN AIR BASES BOMBED
(By Radio—l.ls a.m.) LONDON, April 23. Two German air bases near Oslo were bombed for the first time last night by planes of the Royal Air Force. An Air Ministry communique states that at one of the aerodromes a large fire was started by incendiary bombs. For the third night in succession bombers carried out an attack on Aalborg, in northern Denmark. This base is believed to have been used by the Germans as a startingoff point for air transports to Norway. During the two previous attacks fires were started and considerable damage was done. The fact that German planes are now following a direct route over Sweden may be an indication that the Aalborg base has been so badly damaged as to make the ground surfaces unsuitable for heavy aircraft.
