REPORT NOT CONFIRMED OFFICIALLY
(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19. No official confirmation was available today of the report that the recent expulsion of Mr J. A. Lee from the Labour Party was discussed at the stopwork meeting of the Wellington Branch of the Waterside Workers’ Union this week, and that a motion to the effect that the branch withdraw its delegates to the Wellington Labour Representation Committee as a protest against Mr Lee’s expulsion was defeated by a small majority.
