Shortage Of Matches
Safety matches are again in short supply in Auckland. It is not only housewives who find it difficult to obtain their normal requirements, for smokers, too, are affected. Few shops are prepared to sell more than one box to.any customer, and smokers are often told than even a single box cannot be handed over unless the purchaser is also prepared to buy cigarettes or tobacco with it.
