PICTORIAL ISSUE OF STAMPS
USE ON SMALL RECEIPT FORMS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 20. It was realized that in some cases twopenny centennial stamps were too large for use on small receipt books, so the department has decided to make twopenny pictorial stamps available for stamp duty purposes; stated the Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr J. G. Young) in a letter read to tonight’s meeting of the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Twopenny pictorial stamps would be supplied on request at the Post Office, but it was not desired that these should be used for postage purposes.
