SIX ENLISTMENTS
SOUTHLAND DISTRICT Six men, all single, enlisted for active service at the Invercargill Defence Office yesterday. One did not want his name published. The others were: A. H. Adam, M. Breen, S. T. Butcher, J. Marr, W. C. Norman. BISHOP AS CHAPLAIN WITH N.Z. FORCES (United Press Association) NAPIER, February 19. It is understood that the Bishop of Waiapu (the Rt. Rev. G. V. Gerard) is shortly going overseas with the New Zealand Forces as chief chaplain with the rank of colonel. He is expected to sail with the .3rd Echelon.
