New Swimming Pool

The Olympic swimming pool, which is considered to be the finest of its kind in New Zealand or Australia, and constructed by the Newmarket Borough Council, was officially opened on Saturday afternoon by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, who said the pool was the only one in New Zealand with water of a sufficient depth for high diving up to an Olympic standard.
