TODAY’S RECIPE
STRAWBERRY FOAM CAKE 4 eggs. 2 yolks. 4oz sugar. 2oz flour. 2oz butter. * J pint cream. 6 to Boz strawberries. Mix the eggs, the yolks and the sugar, beat it on fire until it is nearly warm, take away from fire and continue to beat till the micctu-re is cold and foamy. Add the flour and creamed butter, and bake the paste in a tin. Remove from oven and allow to stand till next day. Divide it then and fill and cover the cake with whipped cream mixed with crushed strawberries and sugar to taste. Decorate the cake on the top with fresh strawberries. Put the cake for two hours on ice before serving.
