First there are the Tootal products, of which perhaps the best known are Pyramid and Lissue, all selling at popular prices, and packed in most attractive boxes. Then there are

the popular Suntan Irish linen handkerchiefs, other Irish linen sorts in choice colourings, and hand-embroid-ered ones of splendid quality at the cheapest price ever offered—three for a shilling. Handkerchief boxes are priced from 2/6 and offer a wide variety for the choice of the discerning gift buyer. In hand-bags—another present always popular—the shop offers a wide range, and there are some excellent English morocco types at moderate prices ranging from 12/6 to £5/5/- to suit everyone. The shop has a fine assortment of women’s hosiery in guaranteed makes, including a full and splendid range of New Zealand manufacture. Most popular prices are those at 4/11, 5/11, 6/11 up to 9/11. There is a wonderful display at the same counter of children’s sockettes, of British make and of all sizes, and all at the one price of 1/6 a pair. Ladies’ umbrellas make an acceptable gift, especially if a good reliable cover is guaranteed with a smart stylish handle; prices range from 7/11 to 25/-. Every department of the store contributes its quota to the total of acceptable gifts, and there is a rush of buyers to take advantage of the bargains offered.
