The president of the New Zealand Navy League (Mr J. S. Ross, of Dunedin), sent the following message to the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) on Saturday: “The New Zealand Navy League and its branches congratulate the officers and the ship’s company of the Achilles for the gallant action in the South Atlantic.”
