SUMMER PROGRAMME ADOPTED INVERCARGIIY TROTTING CLUB’S MEETING

At a meeting of the committee of the Invercargill Trotting Club last evening the programme for the club’s summer meeting came up for consideration. The stake money and the various classes were left the same as last year, with the exception of the* Waikiwi Handicap, for which the limit was extended to 5.7. K It was decided that the win-and-place system of betting again operate. Mr H. S. Irving, who has acted as clerk of the course since the inception of the club in 1925, tendered his resignation, which was accepted with regret. In recognition of his valuable services it was decided to elect Mr Irving an honorary life member.
