CHRISTMAS EMPIRE BROADCAST
SAME SCALE AS PREVIOUS YEARS (British Official Wireless) (Received December 3, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, December 2. The British Broadcasting Corporation announces that the Christmas Day Empire broadcast, culminating in the King’s Speech, will be on the same scale as previous years. The programme will include a microphone tour of the south of England, the Midlands, Wales, the north of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, followed, it is hoped, by items representing all three fighting services. Speakers from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa will follow. Malaya will represent the Colonial Empire,
