INQUIRY INTO MINE DISASTER
COMMISSION “IS NOT AFTER ANYONE’S SCALP” (United Press Association) HAMILTON, December 2. During the cross-examination of a witness pt the inquiry by the Mine Commission at Huntly yesterday, Mr J. Dowgray, of Granity, observed: “I want to assure you that this commission is merely trying to elucidate the facts in connection with the disaster and is not after anyone’s scalp. I don’t think that is in the mind of anyone. The fact that this tragedy happened, in spite of the advanced state of our mining legislation, just indicates the need for watchful vigilance.’*
