SANDERS CUP TRIAL POSTPONED • The final Sanders Cup trial of the season which was to have been sailed at Bluff yesterday afternoon, had “to be postponed because of the boisterous weather. The race is now set down for next Sunday afternoon. The Bluff Yacht Club held the first of its club races for the season on Saturday afternoon. Five competitors took part in the race which was sailed over a windward and leeward course; the wind from the south was light at the start but later freshened. Rowene and Rosita provided a keen race, the former prevailing in the last lap to win by one minute from Rosita with Irene third and Vorena fourth. The other competitor Kia Ora withdrew at the conclusion of the first lap. THREE TRIAL RACES AT DUNEDIN (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 2. Three more Sanders Cup trials were sailed at the week-end, the Evelyn winning two and the Lynette one.
