Ross, with whom he has been associated since he left school, has been ill for the past two months. He is now recovering and was able to view the racing from a motor-car. The first horse to be saddled up by Dwyer was Sir Hugh, who won the opening event, and Dwyer carried on with successes by Thermidor _ and Miltiades, thus having three wins in his first race day experiences as trainer..
