BACON PIG CHAMPIONSHIP
The Whangarei Agricultural and Pas-, toral Society has decided to suspend .the national bacon pig championship, that has been such a feature of both summer and winter shows of the society. Because of present conditions, it would not be possible to carry on with the championship next year. To maintain interest, however, the society will conduct a bacon pig championship at the summer show, the judging being on the hoof and the hooks, it being impossible to carry the competition to the bacon stage.
