Removing Sea-Water Stains
Immersion in sea water causes unsightly stains on brown shoes. These can, however, be effectively removed in the following manner. Make a solution by dissolving a small lump of washing soda in two tablespoons of hot milk. Apply the solution to the stains by means of a rag, and after it has dried the shoes should be cleaned with ordinary brown shoe polish.
