CIVIL SERVANTS AT PLAY POST OFFICE BEATS RAILWAY The annual bowls match between teams from the Post Office and the Railway Department in Invercargill was played on the Southland green in good weather last evening. J. Darroch, Orr, L. Smith, L. Wildermoth — 15 TOTAL 42 35 WESTERN DISTRICT COMPETITION RIVERTON SCORES WIN AT OTAUTAU The Western District bowls competition fixture, Otautau v. Riverton, was played on the Otautau green on Thursday evening, and resulted in a win for Riverton by 11 points. The playing surface was in good order, but wind in the early stages of the game made conditions a little difficult. After the match, Mr C. Steven congratulated the winner and Mr J. Strang replied.
