RAILWAY DERAILMENT AT MOKOTUA
SEVERAL WAGONS LEAVE TRACK Several wagons of the TokanuiInvercargill mixed train were derailed at the Mokotua railway station at about 9 o’clock yesterday morning. The train was travelling slowly at the time and the wagons were not overturned. No damage was done to the permanent way. Several passengers were travelling on the train and they were conveyed to Invercargill by omnibus. No one was injured. A breakdown gang was sent to the scene of the accident and it was not expected that any difficulty would be experienced in returning the wagons promptly to the rails.
