Grant none for 4; Magee none for 10. PROPOSED TOUR BY AUSTRALIAN XI ABANDONMENT IN MEANTIME (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, November 29. Following discussions between the Australian Board of Control and the New Zealand Cricket Council, and after considering the difficulties arising from the war it has been jointly decided that the proposed New Zealand tour by an Australian team will be abandoned for the time being. A statement issued by the management committee says that it is naturally with great regret that the committee has found itself forced by the existing circumstances to this decision.
