Cloudy To Overcast (Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, November 29. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to strong northerly winds, weather cloudy to overcast with rain at times, chiefly, however, in the west Mild temperatures; seas becoming rough. Following is the Dominion forecast:— Weather unsettled in the western districts and in the north and the south, with rain at times;-elsewhere fair to cloudy. Temperatures mild to warm. General Situation.—An anti-cyclone centred to the east still extends on to the North Island, but pressure is now falling in the south. Winds.— North-easterly continuing over most of the North Island and northerly to north-westerly from Cook Strait southwards. Force, moderate to strong generally. . Seas.—Slight to moderate inshore south of Napier and on the west coast of the North Island; rough elsewhere. Eastern Tasman Sea, northerly winds, moderate in the north, with moderate seas; strong to gale force in the south, with rough seas. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was fine and sultry. This morning at one o clock the weather was mild. The sky was heavily clouded, and there was a light breeze from the north-west. The barometer readings for this morning, Wednesday and Tuesday have been:— • This morning (falling) 29.58 in. Wednesday 29.83 in. Tuesday 29.92 in.
