THE WELLINGTON STAR The motor-ship Wellington Star, built oy Harland and Wolff, Ltd., Belfast, to the order of the Blue Star Line, Ltd., ran her trials on August 23 and 24, afterwards returning to Belfast for finishing touches. She is over 550 ft long, with a gross tonnage of 11.400, and is fully insulated for the carriage of perishable produce. There Is accommodation for 12 passengers in four single and four double-berth rooms. The Wellington Star and her sister ship the Wellington Star, now completing at Belfast, will be propelled by twin sets of HarlandB and W six cylinder two-stroke doubleacting Diesel engines. These vessels are 15ft longer than the five liners which were built at the Queen’s Island for the Blue Star Line between 1934 and 1936. OTHER PORTS LYTTELTON, October 20.
