DISASTROUS TYPHOON IN JAPAN
(Received October 19, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 18. The Tokyo correspondent of the Associated Press says a typhoon at Kyusha killed 38 people. Thirty-three are missing, scores were injured, and thousands are homeless. At Kagoshima City hundreds of fishing boats were destroyed. Landslides wrecked bridges and highways and disrupted communications.
