OHAI RAILWAY BOARD
OUTPUT OF COAL SHOWS INCREASE The monthly meeting of the Ohai Railway Board was held in the board s rooms at Wairio. There were present: Messrs G. S. Edie (chairman), D. D. McDonald, W. Crawford, E. Davis, R. Adcock, L. S. Edmonds and G. Tinker. The general manager (Mr A. W. Rodgers) and the traffic manager (Mr R. Donnelly), were also in attendance. The general manager reported as follows:—
“During the four weeks since the board last met, the output of coal from the mines has exceeded the quantity for the corresponding period of last year by 1145 tons. The aggregate increase for the expired portion of the financial year, when compared with the corresponding weeks in 1938-39, is 3180 tons.”
The report was approved. Accounts amounting to £11,233/1/8 were passed for payment.
