OTAUTAU SPORTS ON LABOUR DAY
GOOD ENTRIES IN MOST EVENTS
Good entries have been received by the Otautau Athletic Society for its meeting on Labour Day. Although the war has had some effect on the prospects in sport this season the association has decided to follow the advice of the Government to carry on, and it is not proposed to curtail the meeting in any way. Chopping, cycling, and running events have all received surprisingly good entries and a big Otago contingent has signified its intention of taking part in the meeting. Holt Park is in excellent condition for the fixture, and the committee is doing everything in its power to cater for its supporters and competitors.
