American tennis players E. T. Cooke, J. Kramer and W. van Horn are most disappointed at the news that Australia has cancelled its invitation to the United States for a touring team. It was revealed that they would have comprised the side to visit Australia. Four American professionals, Donald Budge, Ellsworth Vines, Bill Tilden and Lester Stoefen, will visit South Africa, in spite of the cancellation of the Australian tour. As they do not wish to travel by a British ship, they have sailed from London to connect with an American liner from New York.
