MELBOURNE, October 10.
In the South street competitions at Ballarat Miss Daphne Violich (Wellington) gained second place in the character recital.
Miss Alison Cordery (Christchurch) is one of the finalists in the aria contest to be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on Wednesday.
