It was decided to give a suitable silver cup.

A. complaint was made by the former manager of an Eastern District dairy factory that he had not received full payment of his salary for the whole year after the season had closed. Mr M. R. Gale, former manager of the Omimi dairy factory, wrote stating that he had been appointed manager of the Rai Valley dairy factory, Marlborough, and asking for a transfer to the managers’ union in that district. The request was grarited and Mr Gale was thanked for his services in the past. It was decided to hold a special meeting for the purpose of changing the name of the union from the Southland and Otago Cheese Factory Managers’ Industrial Union of Worker's to the Otago and Southland Cheese and Butter Factory Managers’ Industrial Union of Workers, to provide for the extension of the award to cover the butter factory managers in the Otago and Southland Industrial District.
