CHINESE FAMILIES COME TO NEW ZEALAND
{United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 10. Seven families, comprising Chinese mothers and children numbering about 30, arrived at Auckland to join their fathers. They come from the area near Canton which was recently subjected to a heavy Japanese bombardment. Becoming anxious for the welfare of their families, Chinese fathers in Auckland obtained permission from the Government for their wives and families to come to New Zealand for two years.
