MONTHLY MEETING OF R.S.A.
At the monthly meeting of the Edendale Returned Soldiers’ Association Mr J. Halliday presided. Several members from the Wyndham branch were also present.
The secretary (Mr R. H. Bissett) reported on the meeting of delegates held at Invercargill to discuss the proposed combined picnic to be held on Riverton racecourse. After some discussion it was decided to support the proposal, and £l/1/was given towards the preliminary expenses. Messrs J. Halliday, R. ,H. Bissett and W. McCorkindale were appointed to attend the next meeting of delegates at Invercargill, and Messrs J. Archibald, G. Smith, T. Hickey and T. Beck were appointed to the sports committee.
