ALGIE WINS MELBOURNE CHAMPIONSHIP
MELBOURNE, September 13. Playing in the City of Melbourne table tennis championships Swift and Boniface, the New Zealanders, were eliminated in the first round.
Algie (New Zealand) won the final, defeating Thoms, a former Australian champion, 21-15, 21-17, 21-17.
