ANNUAL MEETING OF COLLEGIATE CLUB OFFICERS ELECTED FOR NEW SEASON There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Collegiate Swimming Club last evening. Mr C. A. Stewart was chairman. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet (previously published) the chairman referred to the rapid growth of the junior section and its importance to the future of the club. The club was now definitely committed to the teaching and instruction of primary school children and it was the duty of every member to assist in this work.

The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr C. A. Stewart (reelected); president, Mr W. G. Martin; vice-presidents, Misses T. McKenzie and V. Smith and Messrs A. W. Jones, R. G. Webb, W. Curwen and W. M. C. Denham, M.P.; secretary, Mr C. Lea; treasurer, Mr Stewart; delegates to Southland Centre, Messrs G. Rask, C. Kelly, C. Martin and Stewart (to be finalized by the incoming committee); Press agent, Mr G. Rask; committee, Misses L. Duff, M. Hynd, M. Moore, M. Kean, M. Howie and A. Kennedy and

Messrs P. Phillips, D. Parr, K. Miller, E. Nutsford and C. Kelly; women’s club captain, Miss A. Mair; deputy-captain, Miss M. Kennedy; men’s club captain, Mr C. Martin; deputy-captain, Mr K. Heywood.

Subscriptions were fixed as follows:— Men 7/6, women 5/-, juniors and intermediates 2/6. The matter of arranging an extra club hour was referred to the executive.

The club hour for the present was fixed for Wednesday from 5.45 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. The onening day was fixed for next Wednesday.
