HIGH SCHOOL SHORTHAND EXAMINATION The following pupils of the Gore High School were successful in the Pitman’s shorthand examination conducted last month in speed tests:—One hundred words a minute, Joan Hunt and Mary Mallon; 70 words a minute, Amy Marshall, June McDowell, Jocelyn Perry, and Hilda Smith; 60 words, Myra'Weir, Marjorie Hogg and Althea Fraser; 50 words, Mona Bell and Bessie Hobbs. In the shorthand theory the following were successful:—Advanced, Mona Bell, Jocelyn Perry and Myra Weir; elementary, Doreen Grant, Bessie Hobbs, Marjorie Hogg, Joyce McDougall, Cathie Mclntosh, Avis McKitterick and Shirley Sandes.
