METAL SHARES SHOW FIRM FRONT ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE

Metal; companies’ shares continued to show a firm front on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. Buyers for Broken Hill Souths advanced to £l/11/- and Norths were firmer at £2/11/6. Mount Lyells moved up to £l/14/-. Inquiry for Australian industrials was confined to a few lines. A sale of New Zealand Refrigerating (cont.) at 8/1, was reported. Hie following were the sales:— ——
