New Cricket “Star”
Playing against Notts at Trent Bridge C. H. Palmer scored 110 for Worcestershire before W. Voce got a ball past him. Although this was only his ninth innings for the county, Palmer had reached the century on three occasions. Unperturbed by the failure of the later batsmen at Nottingham and a series of interruptions by rain, the young Birmingham University student gave a masterly display.
