ANNUAL BALL AT RIVERTON

ROWING CLUB ENTERTAINS Decorated with green and white streamers, the club’s colours, the Empire Theatre, Riverton, made an attractive setting for the annual ball held under the auspices of the Riverton Rowing Club. Because of counter-at-tractions, the attendance was not as large as in former years, when the door-takings often exceeded £7O. The receipts this year amounted to £45, however, and the function was a successful one. Extras were played by Messrs K. Fraser (Ermedale), R. Henry (Riverton) and E. Shaw (Longwood). Mr G.
