KILLING OF WILD PIGS

BONUS OF 1/- A HEAD TO BE PAID A bonus of 1/- a head will be paid for wild pigs killed between June 1, 1939, and February 29, 1940, according to advice received by the Department of Agriculture in Invercargill. When the bonus was last payable in 1937 the scheme applied only to certain specified counties, but for the current year the operation of the scheme has been widened to include the whole Dominion.

Payment of the bonus will be made under conditions as follows:—

Payment will be made at the rate of 1/- a head on all wild pigs killed throughout the Dominion subject to the production to the collecting officer (the inspector of stock for the district) of the snouts and tails of the wild pigs killed and claimed for. The snouts and tails presented are to be in the green state as evidence that they are from pigs killed within the period over which the bonus is to operate, and should be presented at frequent intervals.
