TODAY’S RECIPE
CINNAMON, FIG, AND ALMOND SCONES 2 cups flour. 4 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 teaspoons cinnamon. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 tablespoons butter. 5 cup milk. i cup finely-chopped, figs. | cup finely-chopped roasted almonds. Sift dry ingredients. Chop in butter. Add nuts and. figs. Add milk to make a soft dough. Roll out half an inch thick. Cut into circles. Place on a cold, floured tray, and bake for 15 minutes at 450 degrees F. SARAH.
