HALF-YEARLY MEETING OF ACORN LODGE

BIG ATTENDANCE OF MEMBERS There was a big attendance of members and visitors at the half-yearly meeting of the Acorn Lodge, Order of Druids. A.D. Bro. F. Cook presided. A total of £29/11/- sick pay was passed for payment. A balance-sheet for the half-year was submitted and it showed the total membership to be 495. The consolidated fund now amounted to £lBl,OOO. The following officers were installed for six months by D.P. Bro. J. Mair: J.P.A., Bro. F. Cook; A.D., Bro. R. Fretwell; V.A., Bro. C. Routledge; treasurer, Bro. A. A. Low; secretary, Bro. J. D. Gregg; A.D.B.s Bros. G. Frampton and A. Hagen; 1.G., Bro. R. White; C.G.; Bro. R. M. Asher; M.C., Bro. J. Ward; V.A.B.s, Bros. F. Cheyne and F. Stewart; organist, Bro. W. A. Cherry; steward, Bro. S. Longley; auditors, Bros. A. Sherbpurne and J. D. Gregg. On behalf of the lodge, Bro. Mair presented V.A. Bro. A. Campbell with a framed diploma in recognition of his services to the lodge while passing through the chairs. Bro. Campbell replied. A vote of thanks to the visiting lodges was replied to by P.D.P, Bro. W. Earley (Rose of Palmerston), Bro. Asher (West Harbour), A.D. Bro. R. Smith (Ohai) and P.A. Bro. Bocock (Oak of Waikiwi).
