INQUIRY FOR BANKING SHARES ON INVERCARGILL EXCHANGE

Little or no change took place in the market for Government securities on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday morning. Better inquiry came for banks, Commercials being asked for at 16/-, Nationals at the higher price of £2/6/b and Bank of New Zealand “D” long term shares at £l/6/b. Australian industrials were quiet. Overseas mining shares were inactive.
