PARTY AT LONGRIDGE
A' euchre and dance evening was recently held under the auspices of the Longridge North Ex-Pupils’ Association. The ladies’ euchre was won by Miss K. Joyce. Miss L. Sheed was second. The men’s section was won by Mr J. Keown with Mr J. Johnston second. Lucky seat prizes were won by Mrs D. McDonald and Mr W. Joyce. Prizes for the euchre were given by Miss G. McDonald, Messrs D. McDonald, W. Keown and L. Kay. Mr T. Lush gave the lucky seat prizes. At the conclusion of the euchre a dance was held, music being supplied by Mrs T. Lush (piano), Messrs H. Durrant (guitar), G. Watt (piano-ac-cordion), M. Dwyer (accordion) and J. Dwyer (bagpipes). Among those present were: Mr and Mrs D. McDonald, Mr and Mrs J. Johnston, Mr and Mrs T. Lush, Mr and Mrs L. Leith, Mr and Mrs P. Sheed, V. Joyce, B. Horrell, M. Joyce, I. Casey, J. Sinclair, O. Keown, C. McDonald and G. McDonald (Lumsden). Messrs W. Joyce, B. Richards, W. Keown, R. Dale, G. Watt and H. Durrant (Waipounamu), J.
