(To be sold in pens of 1,2, 3, 4 and 5). This is one of the earliest Southdown flocks established in Southland, and was founded mainly on “Punchbowl” blood. The sires used in the flock have been carefully selected from leading studs, and only those showing outstanding quality and constitution have been used. The rams bred each year from the flock have always had a ready sale on the property, and were on a recent occasion purchased by a wellknown North Island sheep man, and shipped to the North Island, a Southdown stronghold. They are good quality, robust, low set sheep, with excellent constitution, and have the advantage of being acclimatised to Southland conditions. All the ewes have been inspected and passed for transfer by the Southdown Sheep Society’s Inspector.
