BURGLARY DURING FIRE
HAUL OF £llO IN CASH (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 31. While the policeman usually on duty in the neighbourhood was otherwise engaged on Wednesday at the scene of Tuesday night’s fire some person or persons succeeded in opening the office safe of Independent Motors in Wakefield street, Wellington. They got about £llO all in cash composed mainly of £5 and £1 notes. The lock was apparently picked or opened with a key.
